What is a Drawing Prompt?

A drawing prompt is a little like a game, meaning you have to make up a drawing based on the word.

I want to explain the origin of these books starting with the first book “500 Drawing Prompts” 2018.

These books are created by my daughter and the first one was given to me for Christmas 2018.

Using a 100 page sketch book, she divided each page with a line and wrote a random word – thats the word prompt for me to create an illustration.

Since the start of the original book till now I have illustrated over 900 sketches over 4 Books, 2 of which are finished and 2 of which are still in the works.

Featuring illustrations from my 3 books dating from 2018.

The first book “500 Drawing Prompts”  finished in 2019 has 500 random illustrations.

This was followed by a second book titled “360 Drawing Prompts” finished in 2020 features 360 random illustrations.

My third book is titled “Art That Bugs Me”. This was which is a series random illustrations with insects currently in the works.
